“10 Questions with” is a new segment on our website in which we are going to talk to DJ/producers and get to know them a bit better with various type of questions.
Our first guest is a promoter of the underground culture, a DJ and a respected producer – Serbian-born Lag is the on the forefront of the new wave of techno artists.
He played at clubs such as Berghain, Tresor as well as on EXIT Fesival mighty Dance Arena.

Here is our interview with Lag. Enjoy!
1. Would you ever play naked on some freaky festival or party?
– If everyone else is naked then why not?
2. Your biggest virtue and biggest flaw is?
Uh, you’re gonna have to ask someone else about my biggest virtue. As for the biggest flaw – I have a big ego which sometimes takes the wheel.
3. Craziest thing you have seen on some of your gigs?
A promoter post-party slapping his own face in front of the headliners because he doesn’t have the money to pay their fees.
4. Did you ever get an inappropriate offer from a random girl?
It has happened, I admit.
5. Describe Berghain in 3 words?
Music, energy, freedom.
6. How does the crowd differ from Berghain and rest of the clubs in Europe?
There’s something that changed in parties worldwide with the arrival of phone-cameras and big sponsors, and the old energy is gone. Except for one place.
7. What helped you the most in your come up and what advice do you have for up&coming DJ/producer’s?
Working very hard and loving the music. There were many situations where everything seemed hopeless and the only possible way was “out”, but then I remind myself why I’m here and what I got from the scene so far so I press on.
8. How do you like finding new music?
I dig through Youtube and sometimes Discogs. Also, I love visiting people and hearing their playlist while I’m in there space. It helps me see music through someone else’s ears.
9. How does your day in quarantine look like?
Production, tutorials, video games. Like most other people in the scene at the moment. I also acquired two more players so I can have fun at home with some 4-deck mixing.
10. Which DJ would be your first option as a wingman?
Filip Xavi. My old techno comrade.
